Chování posluchačů hudby z generace Y v době digitální distribuce hudby

Abstract

1 Abstract The Master's thesis Behavior of Generation Y music listeners in the age of digital music distribution deals with the pocess of listening to music and habits connected to it among generation Y music listeners. Digital age provides music listener with new channels to listen to music such as streaming services (Spotify, Apple Music etc.), music websites, online radio broadcasting or MP3 format. The research method used in this Master's thesis is qualitative research in the form of semi-structured interviews which were led with the sample of ten respondents. The aim of this Master's thesis is to outline the reflection of respondents' music listening behavior. It tries to capture their viewpoint of use of music channels and their positive and negative aspects. It also focuses on how music listeners choose interprets and songs, how they discover new music and what is their approach to sharing music on social networks. Another question also is what is the role of physical music media for Generation Y music listeners. Findings gained from the research are presented in the last part and they are compared with other researches and books on the similar topic.

1 Abstrakt Diplomová práce Chování posluchačů hudby z generace Y v době digitální distribuce hudby se zabývá procesem poslechu hudby a zvyklostmi s ním spojenými u posluchačů z generace Y. Digitální doba přináší posluchačům nové kanály, jejichž prostřednictvím je možné hudbu poslouchat, jako jsou streamovací služby (Spotify, Apple Music a další), weby umožňující poslech hudby, online rádiové vysílání nebo formát MP3. Jako výzkumná metoda byl zvolen kvalitativní výzkum formou polostrukturovaných rozhovorů, které byly vedeny se vzorkem deseti respondentů. Cílem této diplomové práce je nastínit reflexi posluchačského chování respondentů. Práce se snaží zachytit jejich pohled na používání různých kanálů pro poslech hudby a na jejich pozitivní a negativní stránky. Věnuje se také tomu, jak si posluchači vybírají interprety a skladby k poslechu, jak přicházejí k nové hudbě a jak přistupují ke sdílení hudby na sociálních sítích. Otázkou, kterou se snaží tato práce zodpovědět, je také, jakou roli pro posluchače z generace Y v dnešní době hrají fyzické hudební nosiče. V závěru práce jsou uvedeny poznatky, které byly získány výzkumem, jejich interpretace a srovnání s předešlými výzkumy a publikacemi, které se zabývají poslechem hudby v době digitální distribuce hudby.
