Number of pages: 71 Year of defense: 2018 Keywords: stress, experiencing stress, coping strategies of nurses Bachelor thesis discusses the stress acting on the nurses working at standard departments and on the strategies of coping with stress these nurses. The theoretical part deals with the personality and especially the personalities of the nurses and her profession and also stress. In the thesis emphasis is placed on stress in general, but also on the stress in the profession of nurses. The main pillar of the thesis is a qualitative research on the stress acting on the nurses and their coping strategies. Research was attended by six nurses, three from the surgical and the eye department of an unnamed large university hospital.

Teoretická část se zabývá osobností a zejména osobností sestry a jejím povoláním a také stresem. V bakalářské práci je kladen důraz na stres obecně, ale také na stres v profesi zdravotní sestry. Hlavním pilířem práce je kvalitativní výzkum ohledně stresu působícího na zdravotní sestry a jejich zvládací strategie. Výzkumu se zúčastnilo šest sester po třech z chirurgického a očního oddělení jedné nejmenované velké fakultní nemocnice.
