Umírání, smrt, eutanázie- přehled problematiky a sonda do názorů středoškolské mládeže

Abstract

V současné době je problematika eutanázie stále častěji diskutovaným tématem nejen na odborné úrovni, ale i v laické veřejnosti. Důvodem je to, že smrt a umírání se týká každého z nás, a že tématika smrti byla v minulosti dlouho tabuizována. Dle mého názoru je tato otevřená diskuze velmi důležitá a prospěšná, neboť eutanázie je často hodnocena na základě velmi povrchních úvah a znalostí. Téma eutanázie jsem si vybral, protože mě její problematika již delší dobu velmi zajímá a chtěl jsem se o ní dozvědět více v širších souvislostech. Ve své práci jsem se snažil zachytit a zpracovat tyto souvislosti v uceleném rámci a zjistit, jaký postoj k této důležité oblasti zaujímá středoškolská mládež.

In my diploma thesis, I describe the most important scopes investigating the problems of euthanasia. The historical development in the perception not only of the death itself but also of its meaning has a crucial impact on a contemporary attitude towards the basic questions of the end of human life. There is a considerable distance between a nowadays society on one hand and the death and dying people on the other hand and, therefore, the society determines the significance of dying in a rather simplified way and does not often comprehend the unique meaning of dying.
