| dc.description.abstract | The Master's thesis "The influence of the activities of large mining companies in ethno-separatist tensions in Melanesia (on the example of the conflict in West Papua)" discusses the impact of large mining companies in the conflicts in the region of Melanesia. Specifically, it seeks to examine to what extent the multinational companies affect ethnic separatism in particular areas. This assumption is investigated on the example of the conflict connected to the largest gold and third largest copper mine with the highest yield in the world - Grasberg mine belonging to the U.S. mining company Freeport-McMoRan. | en_US |

Konkrétně se snaží prozkoumat, do jaké míry ovlivňují tyto nadnárodní společnosti etnický separatismus jednotlivých oblastí.
