In the Theoretical part we give a short introduction of the issues of dying and death. Furthermore, palliative care, nursing care of the dying, pain and ethics in health care. The empirical part of the thesis deals with a qualitative survey investigation in the form of semistructured interview, which is aimed on general nurses, and the mapping of their point of view over the issue. The Data was processed on the basis of open coding. The aim of this bachelor thesis is to identify and assess the perspective of nurses on the issue of death and dying at different sites, which they individually describe.

V Teoretické části se věnujeme stručnému úvodu do problematiky umírání a smrti. Dále paliativní péče, ošetřovatelská péče o umírající, bolest a etika ve zdravotnictví. Empirická část práce se zabývá kvalitativním průzkumným šetřením formou semistrukturovaného rozhovoru, které je zaměřeno na všeobecné sestry, a zmapování jejich pohledu na danou problematiku. Data byla zpracována na základě otevřeného kódování. Cílem této bakalářské práce je zjistit a zhodnotit pohled sester na problematiku smrti a umírání na různých pracovištích, které zde jednotlivě popisují.
