Vliv vědeckých znalostí na estetické oceňování přírody

Abstract

The bachelor thesis is focusing on the question of the impact of the scientific knowledge on aesthetic appreciation of nature. The question is if scientific knowledge does in fact have any impact on the aesthetic appreciation of nature, and if so, how does it influence our aesthetic appreciation. The thesis is solving the question with the aid of selected authors, particularly Ronald Hepburn, Allen Carlson, Nick Zangwill and Cheryl Foster. The initial item of the thesis is to show the cleft between two attitudes, which are cognitive and formal attitudes. The thesis demonstrates how these two attitudes tackle the question of the impact of scientific knowledge on aesthetic appreciation of nature and in the final chapter it offers a new attitude, which interconnects two previous attitudes. Práce se věnuje vlivu vědeckých znalostí na estetické oceňování přírody, kdy základní otázkou je, zda vůbec mají vědecké znalosti nějaký vliv na estetické oceňování, a pokud ano, jakým způsobem se tento vliv při našem estetickém oceňování přírody projevuje. Práce se při řešení problematiky opírá o vybrané autory, kterými jsou Ronald W. Hepburn, Allen Carlson, Nick Zangwill a Cheryl Foster. Výchozím bodem práce je představení jistého střetu, který nacházíme mezi dvěma postoji, přičemž prvním je postoj kognitivní a druhým postoj formalistický. Pomocí vybraných textů a teorií zmíněných autorů se práce snaží ukázat, jak se tyto dva směry s vědeckými znalostmi v estetickém oceňování přírody vypořádávají a v závěru se snaží nabídnout nové hledisko na danou problematiku, tedy poukazuje na možné propojení těchto směrů.
