Abstract

This bachelor's thesis consists of the translation of two articles: Alvar Aalto - eine Begegnung by Karl Fleig and Wolfsburger Allerlei, a newspaper article, and the commentary of the translation, which concentrates on the original text analysis, description of the translation method, the typologies of translation problems (and their solutions) and translation shifts. The specific problems and shifts are illustrated by examples from both original texts.
