V teoretické části jsou charakterizovány základní pojmy související s vírou a sociální oporou a popsány vztahy mezi nimi a člověkem. V empirické části práce jsou porovnávány zkušenosti osob, které doprovázeli svého blízkého během nemoci a umírání. Jejich výpovědi popisují, jakou roli sehrála křesťanská víra v jejich životě a jakým způsobem jim pomohla v těžké životní situaci.

It is showing it's influence in human's life and tries to emphasize it's importance. In theoretical part basic concepts are characterized. These relate to faith and social support and describe relationships between them and human beings. In the empirical part of thesis, the experiences of people which accompanied their loved one's during their illness and dying are compared. Their statements describe what kind of role played Christian faith in their life and how it helped them in difficult life situation.
