Mugabeho vládnutí v Zimbabwe jako recept na dlouhověkost režimu?

Abstract

Diplomová práce si klade jako hlavní cíl zjistit, jaké jsou důvody, pro něž se režimu Roberta Mugabeho podařilo přetrvat v Zimbabwe více než třicet let. Pro zodpovězení této otázky z pohledu komparativní politologie bude autorka práce zkoumat typ režimu, jeho kapacitu (včetně kapacity státu a dalších institucí) a strategie přežití, které lze v Zimbabwe nalézt. Dále budou stanoveny klíčové události historie Mugabeho režimu, včetně relevantních momentů z historie před samostatností státu. V neposlední řadě pak bude režim v Zimbabwe nahlížen z hlediska zkoumání režimů v subsaharské Africe obecně.

This thesis examines the reasons for the survival of Robert Mugabe's regime in Zimbabwe over more than thirty years. Approaching this question from comparative politics perspective the author examines the type of regime, its capacity (including capacity of the state and of other institutions) and strategy of survival that can be found in Zimbabwe, in the context of relevant historical events before and after Mugabe's seizing of power. Thereby the author devaluate those aspects taking into account all the broader context of sub-Saharan African regimes.
