Abstract

GEOPOLITIKA GLOBÁLNÍCH A REGIONÁLNÍCH AKTÉRŮ V JIHOČÍNSKÉM MOŘI Abstrakt Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá územním sporem v Jihočínském moři a jeho geopolitickými podmíněnostmi. Cílem práce je zodpovězení následujících výzkumných otázek metodou systematické rešerše: Která sporná území, která jsou primárním zdrojem napětí? Které faktory mohou v budoucnu vyvolat konflikt? Jaké jsou důvody stupňované čínské aktivity v oblasti? Metoda systematické rešerše odborné literatury je použita ke shromáždění evidence a zodpovězení výzkumných otázek. Teoretický rámec práce tvoří spor mezi klasickou a kritickou geopolitikou. Zatímco státem vedená hegemonická politika je obvykle založená na dřívějším přístupu, kritická geopolitika je zejména prospěšná pro kritický pohled výzkumníka. Analýzou literatury se ukázalo, že nejvíce nárokovanými útvary v Jihočínském moři jsou Spratlyho a Paracelovy ostrovy, na které si nárokuje suverenitu nejvíce států. V rámci jejich přilehlých vod jsou velké zásoby energetických surovin potřebných k ekonomickému růstu Číny i ostatních států v oblasti. Čína roku 2010, posílená svým ekonomickým a vojenským růstem, prohlásila moře svým národním zájmem. GEOPOLITICS OF GLOBAL AND REGIONAL ACTORS IN THE SOUTH CHINA SEA Abstract This bachelor thesis focuses on territorial disputes in the South China Sea as well as on the geopolitical conditions of such occurence. The aim of the thesis is to answer the following research questions: Which contested terrains are the primary sources of tension in the area? Which factors can possibly cause a military conflict? And what are the reasons for increasing Chinese claims in the region? The method of systematic review of scholarly literature is used to collect the evidence and answer the research questions. Theoretical framework of the thesis i based on the disputes between classical and critical geopolitics. While the stae-led hegemonic politics is usually based on the former approach, the critical geopolitice is especially useful for critical insight made by researcher. As the evidence shows, he most contested terrains in the South China Sea are Spratly and Paracel Islands, because the sovereignty upon them is claimed by most of the countries. Large reserves of energy resources can be found within the island's adjacent waters. These are required by China as well as other countries in the region in order to facilitate an economic growth.
