Wei Jingsheng a hnutí Zeď demokracie (1978 - 1979)

Abstract

Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá čínským aktivistou Wei Jingshengem a jeho myšlenkou demokracie během hnutí Zeď demokracie v Pekingu (1978-1979). Součástí práce je průřez čínskými dějinami se zaměřením na vývoj pojetí demokracie od prvních prodemokratických aktivit na konci devatenáctého století do období hnutí Zeď demokracie. Práce dále představuje prodemokratické hnutí Zeď demokracie, které bylo aktivní v Pekingu dva roky po Mao Zedongově smrti a při nástupu nového vedení v čele s Deng Xiaopingem. Na základě analýzy esejí Pátá modernizace : demokracie a další, Bastila dvacátého století, Qincheng věznice číslo jedna, Lidská práva, rovnoprávnost a demokracie a Chceme demokracii nebo nový despotismus?, které Wei Jingsheng napsal během hnutí Zeď demokracie si tato práce klade za cíl vypozorovat, jaká byla jeho kritéria pro demokracii. Thesis Abstract This thesis focuses on Wei Jingsheng, a Chinese activist, and his concept of demoracy during the Democracy Wall Movement in Beijing (1978 - 1979). It explores the development of democracy in China dating back to the late nineteenth century and until the Democracy Wall Movement. Moreover, it thoroughly introduces the Democracy Wall Movement, which took place in Beijing two years after Mao Zedong passed away and with rise of new leadership under the guidance of Deng Xiaoping. Apart from that, this thesis analyses the following essays, written and published by Wei Jingsheng during the Democracy Wall Movement; The Fifth Modernization: Democracy and Other Things, Qincheng: A Twentieth Century Bastille, Human Rights, Equality, and Democracy and finally Do We Want Democracy of New Dictatorship?
