Psychologické aspekty degeneratívnych ochorení centrálneho nervového systému.

Abstract

Degeneratívne ochorenia ovplyvňujú nie len centrálny nervový systém, ale silne zasahujú do neurologických, a to predovšetkým motorických, funkcií. Tieto ochorenia nepochybne pôsobia aj na psychické funkcie. Práca sa v teoretickej časti zameriava na možnú koreláciu psychického vyladenia, a to hlavne emočného, a jeho vplyvu na rozvoj či progresiu takéhoto ochorenia. Ďalej sa sústreďuje na kognitívne zmeny, ktoré dané ochorenia sprevádzajú, tiež behaviorálne a emočné zmeny, ktoré pacienti prežívajú. Práca uvádza taktiež copingové stratégie a odporučenia pre degeneratívne poruchy CNS, ktorých problematikou sa zaoberajú recentné výskumy. V empirickej časti je predstavený návrh vlastného výskumu, ktorý sa zameriava na pôsobenie sociálnej podpory a copingových stratégií na pacienta s amyotrofickou laterálnou sklerózou, ako vybraným ochorením, a rovnako skúma jeho motiváciu či prípadné ciele do budúcnosti, ktoré sú súčasťou kvality jeho života. The degenerative diseases affect not only the central nervous system, but also attacks neurological, mainly motoric, functions. These diseases undoubtedly influence mental functions as well. In the theoretical part, the thesis focuses on a possible correlation between the psychical disposition - mainly emotional, and its influence on the development or progression of this kind of disease. Furthermore, the thesis concentrates on the cognitive alternations accompanying given diseases, on the patients' behavioral changes and emotional alternation. The thesis also presents coping strategies and recommendations concerned with the issue of degenerative diseases of CNS based on the recent studies. A research proposal in the empirical part focuses on the effects of social support and coping strategies on the patient with ALS disease and it also explores the patients' motivation and potential future goals which interfere with the quality of life.
