Anglie očima českých šlechticů na přelomu 16. a 17. století

Abstract

Předkládaná práce se zabývá cestami českých šlechticů do Anglie na přelomu 16. a 17. století. Práce obsahuje obecné shrnutí cestování v době raného novověku. Je založena na rozboru osobních pramenů, jímž jsou cestovatelské deníky. Na jejich základě se v dalších částech práce zabýváme konkrétnějšími problémy cest do Anglie, jako byly příjezdy a odjezdy do země a ze země, anglickou společností a královským dvorem včetně jeho ceremoniálu, slavnostmi a zábavami, způsobem odívání, stolování či komunikace, návštěvami světských i církevních staveb, vzdělávacích i jiných institucí apod. Bakalářská práce je rozdělena do devíti kapitol spolu s úvodem a závěrem práce.

This bachelor thesis deals with the ways of Czech noblemen in England at the turn of the 16th and the 17th centuries. The thesis contains a general summary of traveling during the early modern period. It is based on analysis of the personal sources, which are a travel diaries. In the central part of thesis we deal with more specific trip issues, as were arrivals and departures to the country and from the country, an English company and the royal court, including his ceremonies, celebrations and pastimes, dress, dining or communication, visit secular and church buildings, educational and other institutions. The thesis consist of seven chapters, the introduction and conclusion.
