Práce je rozložena do dvou částí. Teoretická část seznamuje s dialyzační procedurou, s jejími počátky i současností. Poukazuje na důležitost ošetřovatelské problematiky a možné komplikace. Vysvětluje pojem edukace a její součásti. Práce se zaměřuje na edukační potřeby hemodialyzovaných pacientů. Empirická část obsahuje výsledky kvantitativního výzkumu, který proběhl na dialyzačním středisku ON Jičín. Zúčastnilo se ho 46 pacientů a 9 sester. Cílem bylo zmapovat dosavadní úroveň edukačního procesu. Přínosem práce je vytvořený edukační materiál pro sestry a pacienty tohoto oddělení. Vznikl na podkladě výsledků výzkumného šetření, odborné literatury a autorčiných zkušeností.

The thesis is divided into two parts. The theoretical part introduces with the dialysis procedure, from its beginning to the present. It points out the importance of nursing issues and possible complications. It explains the concept of the education and its components. The work focuses on the educational needs of hemodialysis patients. The empirical part contains the results of the quantitative research, which was carried out at the Dialysis Center of the Hospital in Jicin. 46 patients and 9 nurses participated in the research. The goal was to map the current level of the educational process. The benefit of this work is a created educational material for nurses and patients of this department. It was created on the basis of the results of the research, literature and the author's experience.
