Moderne und neue Medien im erzählerischen und essayistischen Werk von Walter Benjamin und Siegfried Kracauer

Abstract

Tato diplomová práce se zabývá teoretickým pojmem moderny. Pokouší se tento pojem uchopit na základě poukazu na zkušenost změněného vnímání času. V první části práce jsou analyzovány různé teoretické koncepty moderny. V následujících částech se autor zabývá mediálními úvahami dvou autorů výmarské éry, a sice Waltera Benjamina a Siegfrieda Kracauera a snaží se odpovídat na otázku, jak tito dva autoři zmíněnou zkušenost moderny reflektují.

The present thesis is dealing with the theoretical concept of modernity. It is attempting to define the concept with a reference to the experience of a shifted time-perception. The first part of the text analyses some of the theoretical approaches to the concept. The following parts are dedicated to the work of Walter Benjamin and Siegfried Kracauer and are trying to examine the way in which those two described their own experience of modernity.
