Vznik pruského království

Abstract

Tato bakalářská práce analyzuje vznik pruského království v kontextu mezinárodních vztahů. Sleduje vývoj braniborského kurfiřtství a hohenzollernského rodu před nástupem Fridricha III., přičemž vzestup země ovlivnil nejvíce jeho předchůdce Fridrich Vilém - Velký kurfiřt. Fridrich pak otcovo dílo dokonal, když se mu obratným vyjednáváním s podporou císaře Leopolda I. podařilo vytvořit nezávislé pruské království.

This bachelor thesis analyses the establishment of the Kingdom of Prussia in the context of international relations. The thesis follows the development of both the Electorate of Brandenburg and the House of Hohenzollern before the reign of Frederick III, coming to the conclusion that it was foremost his predecessor, Frederick William I - the Great Elector - who stimulated the rise of the country. With help from Emperor Leopold I, Frederick completed his father's work when he, by means of skilful negotiation, succeeded in establishing an independent Prussian kingdom.
