Eurožargon v překladových textech vznikajících u institucí EU

Abstract

Tato diplomová práce představuje definici konceptu eurožargonu, která je následně ověřena za pomoci využití korpusové analýzy. Hlavním cílem teoretické části práce bylo rozlišit mezi existujícími koncepty specifického jazyka překladů textů vznikajících u institucí EU a rysy tohoto jazyka přesně definovat. Dále byl kladen důraz na popis samotného procesu překladu, který je pro instituce EU také velmi specifický. Vybrané charakteristické jevy euročeštiny byly zkoumány na korpusech textů vznikajících v EU a srovnávány s referenčními korpusy českých mediálních textů z období před a po roce 2004.

This thesis presents a definition of eurolect and a corpus-based analysis of Czech eurolect. The theoretical part of the thesis focuses mainly on the distinction between existing concepts of the specific language of translations originating in EU institutions and on the definition of its main characteristics. As the process of translation in EU institutions is unprecedented, this thesis provides its detailed description. The analysis of Czech eurolect and its main features was conducted on several sub-corpora comprising of EU translations and reference corpora comprising of Czech journalistic texts from before and after 2004.
