Abstract

Bakalářská práce "Migrace jako tmelící nebo rozdělující prvek v mexických médiích? Reforma americké imigrační politiky z pohledu mexického tisku" se zabývá odrazem protestů na podporu přijetí reformy imigračních zákonů USA, které proběhly na konci roku 2013 ve Spojených Státech. Nejdříve jsou charakterizovány změny migračních toků a obrazu migranta, které se od konce studené války v Mexiku udály. Důležitý je i význam mediálního diskurzu v podněcování všeobecné společenské diskuze o zmíněné problematice. Práce zmiňuje historicky komplikovaný pohled na migranta z perspektivy země jeho původu a diskutuje možné rozdíly v interpretaci problematiky v důsledku odlišného ideologického zaměření deníků. Hlavní důraz je kladen na reflexi protestů hispánské menšiny za přijetí imigrační reformy USA, které jsou analyzovány na základě poznatků ze sekundární literatury. V závěru je komplexně zhodnocen mediální diskurz zkoumaných periodik v daném časovém rozsahu. Powered by TCPDF (www.tcpdf.org)

The thesis "Migration as uniting or divisive element within the Mexican media? The reform of U.S. immigration policy from the standpoint of Mexican press" focuses on reflection of the protests supporting the U.S. immigration reform bill which took place at the end of the year 2013 in the United States. First, historical context of changes of the migration flows between Mexico and USA and the view of migrant in Mexico are drafted since the end of Cold War. Consequently this thesis discusses the importance of media discourse in stimulating the general public debate on this issue. Furthermore the aim of this work is to describe problems in view of the complicated history of migrants from the perspective of his country of origin and possible differences in interpretation of newspaper due to their different ideological focus. The emphasis is put on reflection of the protests of Hispanic minority that out broke after the adoption of immigration reform bill in the Senate of the USA at the end of year 2013. The media outlets are analysed on the base of knowledge of the secondary literature. The complex evaluation of media discourse examined periodicals in a given time range is evaluated in conclusion.
