Důvody pravicové volby studentů v Praze

Abstract

Bakalářská práce se zabývá tématem, které v České republice dosud nebylo zkoumáno. Práce je zaměřena na volební chování studentů veřejných vysokých škol. Konkrétně se jedná o studenty společenskovědních a humanitních oborů v Praze. S ohledem na výsledky zahraničních studií, kde tito studenti zpravidla inklinují k volbě levicových stran a kandidátů, se výzkum zaměřuje na studenty volící pravicové strany a kandidáty. Cílem práce je určit, z jakého důvodu mají čeští studenti opačné preference než jejich kolegové v západních demokraciích. Data jsou získána z rozhovorů se studenty, kteří hlasovali ve volbách do Poslanecké sněmovny Parlamentu České republiky v letech 2010 i 2013 a minimálně v jednom kole voleb prezidentských v roce 2013. Rozhovory jsou strukturovány do několika tematických celků jako rodina, přátelé, studium, apod., které odpovídají předpokládaným vlivům na volební chování. Analýza rozhovorů ukázala, že u respondentů má na jejich volební preference největší vliv rodina, středoškolské studium i média včetně Facebooku. Funkce přátel spočívá spíše ve vzájemném utvrzování se o vlastních postojích. Analýza dále odhalila, že respondenti ve svém okolí neznají téměř nikoho, kdo by volil levici a ani tyto lidi nevyhledávají. Je ale možné, že se dotyční od své volby distancují z obav z reakcí...

The bachelor's thesis deals with the topic that has not been examined in the Czech Republic yet. This thesis is focused on voting behavior of students at public universities, specifically the students of social sciences and humanities in Prague. With regard to the results of foreign studies, wherein these students generally tend to select left-wing parties and candidates, this research focuses on students who vote for right-wing parties and candidates. The aim of this thesis is to determine the reason why Czech students have the opposite preferences than their counterparts in Western democracies. Data are obtained from the interviews with students who cast their vote in the elections to the Chamber of Deputies of the Parliament of the Czech Republic between years 2010 and 2013, and at least in one round of the presidential elections in 2013. Interviews are structured into several thematic areas, such as family, friends, studies, etc., which correspond with the expected effects on voting behavior. Analysis of the interviews showed that the respondents' voting preferences are mostly influenced by the family, high school education and the media, including Facebook.
