Melodie z podzemí. Hudební underground na severu Čech v období normalizace

Abstract

This Diploma Thesis deals with the musical underground in northern Bohemia during the period of so-called normalization. It aims to summarize the characteristics of the underground movement and conditions for music production in the informal culture, and deals mainly with the underground rock scene. The theoretical part focuses on understanding the underground movement from today's perspective and is critical to the created underground phenomenon by studying the written sources and by the analysis of interviews with witnesses. An authentic narration obtained by the oral history brings to the topic a personal view and conviction selected representatives, who, regardless of historical circumstances, were managed to mantain their inner freedom. Samples lyrics and the interpretation of the positions of the narrators are intended to help readers find other than just mythicised view of the underground in Czechoslovak history.

Diplomová práce se zabývá hudebním undergroundem v oblasti severních Čech v období tzv. normalizace. Klade si za cíl stručně shrnout charakteristické rysy undergroundového hnutí a podmínky pro hudební tvorbu v neoficiální kultuře, přičemž pojednává zejména o rockové undergroundové scéně. Teoretická část práce se soustředí na porozumění podzemnímu hnutí z dnešní perspektivy a staví se kriticky k vytvořenému fenoménu undergroundu na základě studia písemných pramenů a analýzy rozhovorů s pamětníky. Autentické výpovědi získané metodou orální historie přináší do tématu osobní pohled a přesvědčení vybraných představitelů, kteří si bez ohledu na okolnosti dokázali zachovat vnitřní svobodu. Ukázky textů skladeb mají za cíl spolu s interpretací postojů jednotlivých narátorů pomoci nalézt čtenáři jiný, než pouze mytizovaný pohled na underground v československých dějinách.
