Fenomén mizuko v Japonsku

Abstract

Cílem bakalářské práce "Fenomén mizuko v Japonsku" je zmapovat, jak se japonská společnost vyrovnává s úmrtím nenarozených dětí, neboli mizuko, a jak tento přístup odráží změny v současné společnosti. Nejprve je nastíněna obecná problematika týkající se potratu a k ní se vázající morální postoj. Tato problematika vyžaduje hlubší pohled na náboženství, a to především představy spojené se začátkem a koncem života. V další části je rozebrán fenomén mizuko kuyō, jeho historie a symbolika s mizuko související. Nakonec je fenomén začleněn do širšího kontextu současné společnosti, a to ve formě kritiky, která se k němu vztahuje, a to ve společenské, náboženské a politické sféře.

The main purpose of this thesis is to examine the coping of japanese society with the fate of unborn children, called mizuko, and how this reflects the changes in contemporary society. At first, the general problem of abortion is being examined along with the moral stands which are closely related to the problem of abortion. This requires examining the nature of religion more closely, especially the thoughts about the beginning and the end of human life. In the second part of the thesis, the phenomenon mizuko kuyō is being examined more closely, specifically its history and symbols relating to mizuko. Lastly, the phenomenon is integrated into the context of contemporary society, mostly in the form of criticism towards the social, religion, and political sphere.
