Analýza zastoupení žen ve výborech Poslanecké sněmovny Parlamentu ČR

Abstract

The topic of this bachelor thesis is the unequal gender representations in various fields in politics, the object of research are the committees established by the Chamber of Deputies of the Parliament of the Czech Republic. The aim of this paper is to identify possible reasons for the unequal representation of men and women given the fact that women are commonly more represented in humanities. In the first part of the paper, theoretical concepts used as the base for research are introduced. Among these are barrier that women face when entering politics, the problem of participation and representation in connection to women's agenda and women's interest and the political culture with respect to gender. The last section of the theoretical part deals with parliamentary committees and the division of the agenda based on gender. The first part of research consists of quantitative data that prove the uneven distribution of participation of men and women. Quantitative data were acquired through interviewing female members of the Chamber of Deputies. The results show that women tend to base their political agenda on previous work experience or specific experience particularly in family care. Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá nerovnoměrných rozdělením témat v politice z hlediska genderu, konkrétně jsou zkoumány výbory Poslanecké sněmovny Parlamentu ČR. Cílem práce je identifikace důvodů nerovného zastoupení žen a mužů v jednotlivých výborech, přičemž je vycházeno z předpokladu, že se ženy zabývají spíše humanitně zaměřenými oblastmi. V první části jsou představeny teoretické koncepty, na jejichž základě probíhal výzkum. Patří sem bariéry vstupu žen do politiky, problematika participace a reprezentace ve spojitosti s ženskou agendou a ženskými zájmy a politická kultura z hlediska genderu. V teoretické části jsou dále rozebírány výbory a s nimi spojené genderové rozdělení témat v politice. Výzkum obsahuje kvantitativní část, která má za cíl potvrzení předpokladu o nerovnoměrném zastoupení žen a mužů pomocí konkrétních čísel, a kvalitativní část založenou na rozhovorech s poslankyněmi. Na jejich základě bylo zjištěno, že ženy svým zaměření v rámci politické aktivity často navazují na předchozí profesi či specifické životní zkušenosti vycházející zejména z péče o rodinu. Naopak se nepodařilo potvrdit vliv bariér vstupu žen do politiky, přenesených na vykonávání mandátu, na genderové rozdělení témat v politice.
