Audiovisuele vertaling met vertaalreflectie van het Nederlands naar het Tsjechisch

Abstract

(čeština) Cílem práce bylo přeložit a otitulkovat krátký populárně naučný nizozemský dokumentární film pro mládež z cyklu televizního pořadu BioBits českými titulky, konkrétně část 97., které pojednává o genetice a roli genů v evoluci. Nejprve autor musel odposlechem transkribovat mluvený nizozemský text. Tento text následně analyzoval podle modelu Christiane Nord. Z analýzy řešitel poté vycházel při samotném překladu a jak při volbě překladatelských strategií, tak při řešení konkrétních překladatelských problémů. Opíral se především o strategie Andrew Chestermana a Jiřího Levého. Na konkrétních příkladech z textu je ukázána typologie překladatelských problémů a jejich řešení. Takto přeložený text autor zkondenzoval pro účely vytvoření titulků a své postupy nastínil na konkrétních příkladech, opíraje se především o práci Miroslava Pošty. Musel mj. překlenout rozdíl mezi psaným a mluveným jazykem a dvojí omezení v čase a prostoru, které je právě pro titulkování tolik typické. Poté pomocí programu DivXLand Media vytvořil samostatné titulky. K práci je přiloženo CD s překládaným filmem a souborem s titulky. (english) The aim of this bachelor thesis is the translating and subtitling of a short Dutch documentary film for youth. Concretely it was the 97th part of the program BioBits. This film is about genes and their role in evolution. The translation was done from Dutch to Czech. The author had to transcribe the spoken Dutch text and analyze it. He has used the analytical methods of Christiane Nord for this purpose. The choice of the translational strategies and the solving of concrete translational problems are patterned on the preceding analysis of the text. The author relied mainly on the strategies of Andrew Chesterman and Jiří Levý. The typology of the translational problems and their solutions are demonstrated on the concrete examples from the text. The translated text was condensed by the author in order to make the subtitles. He outlined the procedure of condensing by way of the concrete examples relying on the work of Miroslav Pošta. That was necessary to overcome the differences between the spoken and written language and the limitation of space and time which are so typical for subtitling. The author then made the Czech subtitles to the movie by means of the program DivXLandMedia Subtitler. The CD with the movie and the subtitle file is attached to this thesis. Keywords: translation,...
