Význam vodících psů pro osoby se zrakovým postižením

Abstract

Anotace: Diplomová práce se věnuje významu vodících psů pro lidi se zrakovým postižením. Je rozdělena na teoretickou a praktickou část. Teoretická část práce vymezuje a klasifikuje typy a stupně zrakového postižení a nejčastější onemocnění zraku. Pojednává o postavení nevidomých ve společnosti, způsobech komunikace a pomoci. Práce se dále zabývá historií a způsobem výcviku vodících psů a vhodnými plemeny, uvádí organizace zabývající se výcvikem psů u nás i v zahraničí a zmiňuje také mezinárodní organizace sdružující tato výcviková střediska. Praktická část je založena na výsledcích výzkumného šetření mezi osobami, využívajícími služeb vodícího psa. Prostřednictvím rozhovorů bylo zjišťováno, jaký význam pro tyto participanty má služba vodícího psa a jakým způsobem ovlivňuje kvalitu jejich života.

Annotation: This thesis deals with the importance of guide dogs for the visually impaired people. It is divided into theoretical and practical part. The theoretical part defines and classifies the types and degrees of visual impairment and the most common eye diseases. It discusses the position of the blind in society, means of communication and assistance. It focuses on the history and methods of training of the guide dogs and suitable breeds, according to organizations engaged in training of dogs at home and abroad, the thesis also mentions international organization of these training centers. The research is based on the results of the survey among people utilizing the services of a guide dog. Through interviews, it was analyzed, how important the guide dog is for the participants and how it affects the quality of their life.
