KOVÁRNOVÁ, P. (2015): Regionální identita obyvatel šumavského podhůří: komparace měst Klatovy, Sušice a Vimperk. Diplomová práce. Univerzita Karlova v Praze, Přírodovědecká fakulta, katedra sociální geografie a regionálního rozvoje, Praha, 98 s. Diplomová práce se zabývá tématem regionální identity obyvatel šumavského podhůří. Hlavním cílem práce je identifikovat a vyhodnotit faktory formující regionální identitu v oblasti šumavského podhůří, které by mohly být zvažovány jako podklad pro diskuze o možnostech budoucího rozvoje tohoto území. Práce vychází z obecných východisek studia územních identit a příhraničních periferií, která jsou založena na heuristice a diskuzi literatury věnující se procesu formování regionální identity, polarizaci prostoru, problematice periferních a pohraničních oblastí. Dílčím cílem práce je posoudit rozdíly regionální identity kontinuálně osídlené, částečně přesídlené a přesídlené oblasti. Jeho náplní je vymezení a hodnocení kategorií potenciálu určujícího formování regionální identity. Objektem výzkumu jsou tři lokality s mimořádně složitým historickým vývojem, města Klatovy, Sušice a Vimperk. The thesis deals with the regional identity of the inhabitants of the Šumava foothills. The main goal of the thesis is to identify and evaluate the factors forming regional identity in the Šumava foothills which could be considered as a base for discussions on the possibilities of future regional development of this region. The thesis is based on general assumptions of study of territorial identities and border peripheries, which are based on heuristics of literature discussing the process of forming regional identity, polarization of space, and the problematics of the areas of peripheral and border regions. The assessment of differences of regional identity in continuously inhabited, partly relocated, and resettled areas is component objective which is focused on the definition and assessment categories determining the potential formation of regional identity.
