První část této práce byla záměrně koncipována jako kritický přehled různých teoretických uchopení a definování fantastična a typologií technických a sémantických aspektů fantastické literatury. Význam tohoto úvodního panoramatu metod a přístupů jednotlivých badatelů a kritiků spočíval jednak ve stručném nástinu existujících tendencí minulých i současných a současně mi pomohl vytvořit solidní základnu pro vymezení společného konceptu fantastična a základních konstitutivních prvků realizovaných v povídkové tvorbě Silviny Ocampové a Felisberta Hernándeze.
