Úloha mentora ošetřovatelské péče

Abstract

THE ROLE OF MENTOR IN NURSING CARE The bachelor`s work is devoted to the contemporary changes in the nurse education, particularly to the student`s practice in a clinic under the supervision of a mentor. The mentor is a guide through the clinical training. He teaches in the environment, that he is fully familiar with, being a permanent part of the medical team and thus knowing well the interpersonal relationships, habits of the ward as well as the patients. The work deals with a new form of education and that is why it comprises also some research, that took place in selected departments. The research tries to test the degree of awareness and the interest of nurses and midwives in a mentor function. The results of the survey give evidence of a very little interest in pedagogical work among nurses in spite of quite good awareness and suitable work condition. Nevertheless, we will surely more and more often meet nurses and midwives in a new role: the role of a mentor.

ÚLOHA MENTORA OŠETŘOVATELSKÉ PÉČE Bakalářská práce byla zaměřena na současné změny ve zdravotnickém školství, konkrétně na praxi studentů v klinickém prostředí pod vedením mentora. Mentor je průvodce praxí, který pedagogickou činnost vykonává v prostředí, které dokonale zná. Je stálým členem zdravotnického kolektivu, zná tedy dobře interpersonální vztahy, zvyklosti oddělení, pacienty… Jelikož se jedná o novou formu výuky, bakalářská práce obsahuje i výzkum ve vybraných pracovištích, zaměřený na informovanost a zájem oslovených všeobecných sester a porodních asistentek o tuto funkci. Výsledky šetření vypovídají o tom, že v současné době je pouze nepatrný zájem o pedagogickou činnost, i přes poměrně kvalitní informovanost a vhodné pracovní podmínky. V každém případě se však budeme postupně stále častěji setkávat se sestrou v nové roli - roli mentorky.
