Abstract The thesis is concerned with the question of states of dizziness and postural instability in patients with a chronic vestibular disorder. The objective of the experimental part was to assess the influence of a group vestibular rehabilitation on the perception of subjective symptoms associated with a vestibular disorder (postural stability, oscillopsia) and on the quality of patients' lives. The rehabilitation programme lasted for five weeks and 15 patients (7 men and 8 women) ranging from 20 to 76 years took part in it. There were patients with peripheral (11 patients), central (3 patients) or combined (1 patient) vestibular syndrome. The rehabilitation took place once a week for 60 minutes, with two to four patients in a group, and it was supplemented with everyday home exercising (10-15 minutes). Abstrakt Diplomová práce se zabývá problematikou závrativých stavů a posturální instability u pacientů s chronickou vestibulární poruchou. Cílem experimentální části práce bylo zhodnotit vliv skupinově vedené vestibulární rehabilitace na vnímání subjektivních obtíží spojených s vestibulární poruchou (posturální stabilitu, oscilopsii) a na kvalitu života pacientů. Rehabilitačního programu probíhajícího po dobu pěti týdnů se zúčastnilo 15 pacientů (7 mužů a 8 žen) ve věkovém rozmezí 20-76 let. Jednalo se o pacienty s periferním (11 pacientů), centrálním (3 pacienti) nebo smíšeným (1 pacient) vestibulárním syndromem. Rehabilitace probíhala vždy jedenkrát týdně 60 minut, s počtem dvou až čtyř pacientů ve skupině a byla doplněna každodenním domácím cvičením (10-15 minut). V terapii byla využívána převážně balanční cvičení a cvičení stability retinálního obrázku. K hodnocení vlivu vestibulární rehabilitační intervence bylo využito statické stabilometrické vyšetření, chůzový test DGI a vyšetření pomocí standardizovaných dotazníků ABC,...
