Konstrukce genderové identity v seriálu Dokonalý svět

Abstract

The thesis analyzes the instruments of gender stereotypes reproduction and gender identity construction in Czech TV series Dokonalý svět. Is the media content gendered? With which instruments of gender stereotypes reproduction and gender identity construction is TV viewer confronted and on which levels? I use the theory of social construction of reality, the theory of the lenses of gender or the characters and narrative structure of the TV series (soup opera) to come to a conclusion. The thesis focuses on the fact that Dokonalý svět does not only reflect the stereotypes on the other hand. It confronts the standard gender orders by the comic character. The comedy character ridicules some gender stereotypes and shakes their social status.

Práce analyzuje prostředky reprodukce genderových stereotypů a konstrukce genderové identity v českém seriálu Dokonalý svět. Je mediální sdělení rodově určené, s jakými prostředky reprodukce genderových stereotypů a konstrukce identity je divák/divačka konfrontován/a v daném seriálu, na jakých úrovních se s těmito jevy setkává? Pro detailnější prozkoumání těchto mechanismů a jejich formy využívám zejména teorie sociální konstrukce reality, teorie optických skel či samotné povahy a narativní struktury seriálu (soap opery). Na druhé straně se práce věnuje také faktu, že Dokonalý svět stereotypy pouze nereprodukuje. Seriál je totiž v určitých případech také nabourává a svým až komediálním charakterem narušuje zaběhnuté genderové pořádky. Některé genderové stereotypy zesměšňuje a tím otřásá jejich pozicí ve společnosti.
