Ödön von Horváth - Die Entwicklung des Individuums im modernen Volksstück

Abstract

This thesis deals with different types of individuals in modern popular plays of Ödön von Horváth. In the first part the development of popular plays is outlined from its beginnings to the present, and there also is a brief description of the Vienna theaters at the turn of the 19th and 20th century. Followed by an analysis of the characters in Horváths popular plays, which are: "The Mountain Railroad", "Tales from the Vienna Wood", "Italian Night" and "Kasimir and Karoline".

Tato diplomová práce se zabývá různými typy individuí v moderních lidových hrách Ödöna von Horvátha. V první části je nastíněn vývoj lidové hry od jejích počátků až do současnosti a je zde také ve stručnosti popsána situace divadelní scény ve Vídni na přelomu 19. a 20. století. Následuje analýza jednotlivých postav v Horváthových lidových hrách, jimiž jsou "Horská dráha", "Povídky z Vídeňského lesa", "Benátská noc" a "Kazimír a Karolína".
