Utopie v Denících Kryštofa Kolumba

Abstract

Utopia in The Diary of Christopher Columbus At first, we meet with the context of era of 15th century in Spain, as well as we come to know complicated journey of Christopher Columbus. The first chapter describes the most important moments of his life together with the Renaissance rebirth of thinking. The second chapter is concerned with the birth of hispanoamerican literature based on anal ysis o f Columbus's marine diary and his messages. All the content and formal part of diary confirm value of Columbus who enrich spanish vocabulary. The main part of this thesis is dedicated to utopia and th e et ymological meaning of the word. We know definition of the utopia but more important is to see the utopia as a literary genre. New literary and mental phenomenon is represented, it's the Utopia of America. The m yth is actual again, we comeback to the Beginning. Also we know differences between utopia and m yt h and we confirm that it is almoust impossible to separate them. The trust, hope and the return to the biblical Paradise are transformed to the isolated place and time, the literature plays the role of creative force which intensifies and spreads these hopes. RESUMÉ: Utopie v Denících Kryštofa Kolumba Prvotní seznámení s kontextem doby přibližuje 15. století v e Španělsku a složitou cestu Kryštofa Kolumba. První kapitola popisuje jeho hlavní životní moment y, spolu s renesančním přerodem m yšlení. Druhá kapitola se zab ývá vznikem hispanoamerické literatury na základě Kolumbova lodního deníku a jeho zpráv. Anal ýzou obsahové a formální stránk y díla potvrdíme Kolumbův v ýznamn ý podíl na tvorbě slovní zásob y, ale též upřesníme v ýznam y, které přinesl idealistick ý popis krajin y a Indiánů. O důležitosti náboženství svědčí Kolumbova korespondence, ale zejména st yl, který udržuje Krále v naději. Hlavní část je věnovaná utopii, jejímu et ymologickému v ýznamu, definici, ale především jako literárnímu žánru. Je představen literární i m yšlenkov ý fenomén: Utopie Amerik y. Přesvědčujeme se reaktualizaci mýtu, vracíme se k samému Počátku. Dozvíme se rozdíl y mezi utopií a m ýtem a potvrdíme, že jedno od druhého lze stěží oddělit. Víra, naděje a návrat k biblickému ráji jsou přenesen y na společné izolované místo a čas, literatura v tomto případě hraje roli tvořivé síl y, která umocňuje a šíří t yto naděje.
