Kulturní rubrika listu Prager Abendblatt v roce 1938

Abstract

The bachelor thesis Cultural section in the newspaper Prager Abendblatt in 1938 is based on the issues of German written press in Prague before the Second World War. The thesis is divided into three chapters. The first one elaborates on the development of Czech- German relations since the beginning of the coexistence of Czechs and Germans in the same area. The emphasis is put on the year 1848 when Prager Abendblatt started to be published (at first as a supplement of Prager Zeitung, since 1867 it was published separately). Individual part of the first chapter is devoted to the events of the year 1938. The second chapter deals with Prager Abendblatt itself, its history and the characteristics of the media environment it entered. The second chapter provides the readers with the names of the editors-in-chief since 1918 and the most important authors who contributed with their articles to the cultural section during the 1930s. The chapter focuses also on the thematic content of the newspaper and the individual sections. The content before and after the Munich Agreement is compared. The third chapter analyses the cultural section and its aim is to find out which part of the cultural life (theater, music, film, literature and fine arts) occurs most often on the pages of Prager Abendblatt. Bakalářská práce Kulturní rubrika listu Prager Abendblatt v roce 1938 vychází z problematiky německy psaného tisku v Praze v období před druhou světovou válkou. Stať práce je rozdělena do tří kapitol. První kapitola zpracovává historický vývoj česko- německých vztahů od počátků společného soužití Čechů a Němců s důrazem na rok 1848, kdy Prager Abendblatt začal vycházet (nejprve jako příloha Prager Zeitung, od roku 1867 vycházel samostatně). Samostatná podkapitola se zabývá událostmi roku 1938. Druhá kapitola se věnuje představení deníku Prager Abendblatt, jeho historii a charakteristice mediálního prostředí, do kterého list vstoupil. Je zde uveden přehled šéfredaktorů od roku 1918 a významní přispěvatelé kulturní rubriky ve 30. letech. Zpracováno je obsahové zaměření novin a jednotlivých rubrik. Zachyceny jsou změny, které deník postihly po přijetí mnichovské dohody. Třetí kapitola analyzuje kulturní rubriku a zjišťuje, o které oblasti kulturního života se objevuje nejvíce zpráv a zda převažují články o českých, německých či zahraničních umělcích.
