Komentovaný překlad: Les sept merveilles du monde (Élisabeth Dumont-Le Cornec, 1998, Paris, str. 28-40)

Abstract

Bakalářská práce je tvořena dvěma hlavními částmi - českým překladem článku s názvem Les Sept Merveilles du monde, který vyšel v roce 1998 ve francouzském periodiku Notre histoire, a překladatelským komentářem, který se věnuje analýze textu a vzniklým překladatelským problémům. Praktická část práce spočívala v adekvátním převodu publicistického článku Sedm divů světa, který je přeložen s cílem zachovat rovinu stylu vytyčenou originálem a zároveň vytvořit text srozumitelný pro českého adresáta. Teoretická část pak reflektuje překladatelské postupy a následné posuny, které bylo nutné použít proto, aby výsledný text byl čtivý a srozumitelný.

The BA thesis is composed of two major parts - the Czech translation of the article entitled Les Sept Merveilles du monde published in 1988 in the French magazine Notre histoire and the commentary on its translation that is concerned with the analysis of the problems emerging from this translation. The practical part entailed an appropriate conversion of a journalistic article Sedm divů světa, which was translated with the aim of preserving the stylistic level established by the original and creating a text approachable by the Czech audience at the same time. The theoretical part then reflects the methods of translation and subsequent translation shifts that were necessary in order to create a readable and understandable result.
