Typy a funkce motivů smrti v pohádkách K. J. Erbena a B. Němcové

Abstract

Tato práce se zaměřuje na motivy smrti ve vybraných kouzelných pohádkách Karla Jaromíra Erbena a Boženy Němcové. V první části práce je vymezen historický kontext vzniku pohádek obou autorů. Ve druhé části, která je hlavním těžištěm celé práce, je za pomoci metody Proppovy morfologické analýzy rozebráno šest pohádek K. J. Erbena a šest pohádek B. Němcové. Tyto pohádky jsou následně analyzovány ze dvou hledisek: zaprvé dle toho, s jakou Proppovou funkcí daný motiv smrti v pohádce koresponduje, a zadruhé, jakým způsobem je tato situace smrti ztvárněna. Na základě získaných výsledků je sestavena komentovaná typologie motivů smrti v daných pohádkách, která je spolu s vymezením shod a odlišností motivů smrti v pohádkách K. J. Erbena a B. Němcové závěrem celé práce.

This thesis focuses on the death motives in the chosen magic fairy tales of Karel Jaromír Erben and Božena Němcová. In the first part, the historical context of both authors's fairy tales origins is defined. The second part, which is the main focal point of this paper, analyses six fairy tales written by K. J. Erben and six written by B. Němcová using Propp's method of morphological analysis. These fairy tales are afterwards examined from two different perspectives: firstly by the function which corresponds with the motive of death in the fairy tale and secondly by the way the situation of the death is depicted in the given fairy tales. The gained information are compiled to create a commented typology of the different death motives. Together with summarizing the concurrences and differences of the death motives in the fairy tales of K. J. Erben and B. Němcová, this is the main goal of the thesis.
