Vedoucí diplomové práce PhDr. Vilém Novotný, Ph.D. Anotace Diplomová práce na téma "Příčiny současné polské emigrace" se snaží zachytit hlavní aspekty, které vedou jedince polské národnosti k rozhodnutí opustit Polsko a emigrovat do zahraničí. Práce se opírá o "koncept push a pull faktorů", se zaměřením především na push faktory, s hlavním cílem nalézt odpověď na otázku, jaké jsou příčiny tak vysokého počtu migrujících Poláků. Problematika polské migrace je v práci rozebírána ve čtyřech částech. První část je věnována migracím obecně a teoriím s nimi spojeným. Druhá část pokládá výzkumné otázky této práce, popisuje metody práce s daty a jejich analýz a vytyčuje cíl práce. V třetí části jsou zachycena polská národnostní specifika, která by mohla pomoci s pochopením souvislostí a příčin emigrace Poláků. Čtvrtá část je již věnována konkrétním jevům, které by mohly být stimulem či příčinou emigrace, tj. vytlačujícími faktory. Ačkoliv je Polsko vyspělou zemí střední Evropy, řadí se na špici pomyslného migračního žebříčku. Jedince polské národnosti, případně jedince s polskými kořeny, najdeme téměř v každé zemi na každém kontinentu, proto...

The master thesis on "The Causes of the Current Polish Emigration" deals with the main aspects of Poles decision to leave the country. The thesis is based on the concept of "push and pull factors" and is primarily focused on the push factors and the reason, why there is currently such high number of Poles migration out of their country. The theme of Polish migration is divided into 4 parts within the thesis. The first part describes the emigration issue and related theories in general. The second part sets the thesis aims by posing hypothesis to prove, describing the working methods with data and analyzing them. In the third part, the Polish nation particularities are described to help with understanding the context and root causes of the exodus. The fourth part deals with the actual examples of emigration and the incentives, which could be the causes of emigration. Although Poland is a developed Central European country, it is currently ranking high on the Europe's emigration top list. The individuals of Polish nationality as well as of the ones with Polish ancestors can be nowadays found in almost every European country. That is why the main thesis aim is to examine in detail and find the root causes of the Polish emigration.
