Porovnání obrazu médií v české a britské beletrii posledních dvaceti let

Abstract

Diplomová práce "Porovnání obrazu médií v české a britské beletrii posledních dvaceti let" se věnuje způsobu, jak čeští a britští současní spisovatelé ve svých dílech popisují postavy novinářů a fungování médií. Práce se pokouší najít společné znaky i rozdíly a na jejich základě popsat kulturní obraz, který vytvářejí. Zároveň porovnává, jak se tento obraz mění v závislosti na zemi původu autora a také na tom, zda autor má zkušenost s prací v médiích. Výsledky tohoto zkoumání pak interpretuje na základě historických, politických, ekonomických či společenských faktů.

Diploma thesis "Media Image Comparison in Czech and British Fiction of Last Twenty Years" reflects on way Czech and British contemporary writers describe characters of journalists and media depicted within their books. Moreover, this thesis is also focused on common features with specific differences underlined describing cultural image they create. At the same time, it compares how this image changes regarding an author's country of origin along side with real experience of the author within media environment as such. In conclusion, main results and findings of this study are interpreted on historical, political, economic basis and social facts in particular.
