Postmoderní román: Foucaultovo kyvadlo Umberta Eca

Abstract

Úvodní část práce podává krátký přehled bibliografie Umberta Eca a věnuje se souhrnu postmoderních prvků v autorově románové tvorbě. Těžištěm práce je rozbor Ecova románu Foucaultovo kyvadlo, a to nejprve jeho obsahové stránky (příběh, postavy, historické a kulturní odkazy) a poté formální stránky (narativní struktura, interpretace, úrovně čtení a intertextualita). V závěru je román zasazen do kontextu autorovy románové tvorby.

Introducing part of the work is focused on short summary of Umberto Eco's bibliography and postmodern elements in author's novel writings. The focal point of the work is analysis of Eco's novel Foucault's pendulum, first the subject aspect (story, characters, cultural and historical references), then the formal aspect (narrative structure, interpretation, levels of reading and intertextuality). In conclusion, the novel is introduced in context of author's novel writings.
