Rozdiely v sexuálnom správaní na základe gender typológie S. Bemovej

Abstract

V našej práci sme za zaoberali spoločným priestorom gender a sexuality pri hľadaní determinantov sexuálneho správania. V zásade išlo o získanie empirických dát v otázke nakoľko sú rozdiely v sexuálnom správaní odvoditeľné od premenných teoretizovaných esencionalistickými prístupmi, ako biologické pohlavie či evolučné procesy, alebo od premenných ako gender, resp. maskulinita a feminita teoretizovaných prístupmi sociálneho konštruktivizmu. Pre tento účel bol 602 heterosexuálnym respondentom (166-tim mužom a 436-tim ženám) vo veku od 18 do 45 rokov administrovaný Inventár pohlavných rolí S. Bemovej, pomocou ktorého sme rozdelili respondentov do štyroch gender skupín, a Inventár sexuálneho správania. Výsledky vo všeobecnosti podporujú sociálne konštruktivistické prístupy v opozícii k esencionalistickým, nakoľko vo väčšine typov sexuálneho správania boli nájdené rozdiely medzi gender skupinami, avšak nie medzi pohlaviami. Esencionalistické explanácie však nemožno vylúčiť, nakoľko u niektorých špecifických typov, menovite v masturbačných aktivitách a celkovej miere sexuálnej aktivity boli nájdené rozdiely aj medzi mužmi a ženami. Our concern in this work was a shared field of study between gender and sexuality in the search of underlying variables of sexual behavior. Basically our scope was to gather data to empirically support one of the theoretical approaches of sex differences in sexual behavior - essentialism, explaining behavior on the basis of biological sex or evolution; or social constructionism applying variables like gender or masculinity and feminity. For this purpose, 602 participants (166 men, 436 women), aged 18-45 yr., filled out the Bem Sex Role Inventory, and the Inventory of Sexual Behavior. Results in general support the social constructionism approaches, as in the most types of sexual behavior we found differences between gender groups, but not between the sexes. However, explanations provided by theories of essentialism should not be discarded, as there were also differences between sexes in few specific areas of human sexuality, namely masturbation, and overall sexual activity.
