Současná péče o umírající pacienty z pohledu ošetřujícího personálu

Abstract

First degree work characterizes the process of dying and death and nears the contemporary possibilities of a lenitive and hospice care in the Czech Republic. The starting point is the definition of basic ideas and their brief characterictic drawing from get-at-able literature and information from practice. For finding the answer for contemporary level of care about dying patients was chosen the method of a qualitative research in the form of an anonymous questionnaire appointed for a nursering staff of a standard department in the chosen medical institutions. This first degree work isn't the universal instruction how to care about and to behave to dying people. This work contributes to thinking about the question of the death and dying, about own mortality and about the factors that influence this period. It nears the needs of dying people and the opinions of a nursering staff concerning priorities and obstacles in accompanying of the dyings.

Bakalářská práce charakterizuje proces umírání a smrti a přibližuje současné možnosti paliativní a hospicové péče v ČR. Východiskem je vymezení základních pojmů a jejich stručná charakteristika čerpající z dostupné literatury a poznatků z praxe. Pro nalezení odpovědí na současnou úroveň péče o umírající pacienty byla zvolena metoda kvalitativního výzkumu v podobě anonymního dotazníku určeného ošetřujícímu personálu standardních oddělení ve vybraných zdravotnických zařízeních. Tato bakalářská práce není univerzálním návodem, jak pečovat a jak se chovat k umírajícím lidem, ale přispívá k zamyšlení se nad otázkami smrti a umírání, nad vlastní smrtelností a nad faktory, které toto období ovlivňují. Přibližuje potřeby umírajících lidí a názory ošetřujícího personálu na priority a překážky v doprovázení umírajících.
