Služby knihoven veřejných vysokých škol v České republice zaměřené na zahraniční studenty: analýza současného stavu

Abstract

(in English) The aim of master thesis was to describe and asses current state of services offered by libraries of public (i.e. non-private) universities in the Czech Republic to foreign students. The first chapter briefly characterizes university libraries in the Czech Republic and aims at legislative framework, financing, institutional background, users, offered services and information sources typical for university libraries. The second chapter deals with foreign students at universities in the Czech Republic. It presents an overview of works which dealt with the theme of foreign students in the Czech Republic until now, informs about which public universities in the Czech Republic are preferred by foreign students and which countries these students come from. The third chapter presents the principal part of the work. It contains the report on the survey carried out in public university libraries in the Czech Republic to which a questionnaire was sent focusing on services offered to foreign students. (česky) Cílem diplomové práce bylo popsat a zhodnotit současný stav služeb, které poskytují knihovny veřejných vysokých škol v České republice zahraničním studentům. První kapitola stručně charakterizuje vysokoškolské knihovny v České republice a zaměřuje se na legislativní rámec, financování, institucionální zázemí, uživatele, poskytované služby a zdroje informací charakteristické pro vysokoškolské knihovny. Druhá kapitola se věnuje zahraničním studentům na vysokých školách v České republice. Podává přehled prací, které se tematikou zahraničních studentů v České republice doposud zabývaly, na základě statistických údajů přibližuje, jaké veřejné vysoké školy zahraniční studenti v České republice upřednostňují a ze kterých zemí k nám přicházejí. V kapitole jsou zmíněny bariéry, se kterými se mohou zahraniční studenti setkat při studiu a kontaktu s knihovnou. Třetí kapitola představuje stěžejní část práce. Obsahuje zprávu o provedeném průzkumu mezi knihovnami veřejných vysokých škol v České republice, kterým byl zaslán dotazník o službách poskytovaných zahraničním studentům.
