Abstract

The Dissertation Organization of Czechoslovakian spiritist movement surveys the existence of spiritist groups and communities In Bohemia, Moravia, Silesia and Slovakia on the basis of preserved administrative records and other sources. Their activities and reciprocal organizational links have been reconstructed through an analysis of preserved articles of these communities, administrative records and other reports published in newspapers. A wider context of the problematics has been provided by a treatise of further literature of the period, which reflected the spreading of spiritism. A common feature of most of the communities was their identification with the emerging Czechoslovakian spiritist movement. One of the primary objectives of the movements was to unify the activities of Czechoslovakian spiritists. This process is described from the first suggestions to create a unified organization in 1895, to a forced dissolution of the communities in 1951. The current situation of research in this field does not permit any comparison between the key outputs of the dissertation and the opinions of other authors. Disertační práce Organizace československého spiritistického hnutí mapuje na základě dochované úřední evidence a dalších pramenů existenci spiritistických skupin a spolků na území Čech, Moravy, Slezska a Slovenska. Analýzou dochovaných spolkových stanov, úředních záznamů a dalších zpráv uveřejňovaných v tisku je rekonstruován obsah jejich činnosti a vzájemné organizační vazby. Zpracováním další dobové literatury reflektující šíření spiritismu je uveden širší kontext této problematiky. Společným znakem většiny těchto spolků byla jejich identifikace s postupně se tvořícím československým spiritistickým hnutím. Jedním z jeho hlavních cílů bylo sjednocení činnosti československých spiritistů. Tento proces je popsán od prvních návrhů na vytvoření společné organizace v roce 1895 až po nucenou likvidaci spolkové činnosti v roce 1951. Současný stav bádání v této oblasti neumožňuje porovnat klíčové výstupy práce s názory jiných autorů. Do konkrétních návrhů na organizaci a na jejich následné realizaci se promítly rozdílné tendence ve spiritistickém hnutí. Dlouholetá snaha československých spiritistů směřující k vytvoření společné organizace nebyla naplněna.
