Komentovaný překlad: Germanen: Unterwegs zu höherer Zivilisation (H. Ament: Bibliographisches Institut & F. A. Brockhaus AG, 2001)

Abstract

Předmětem bakalářské práce je překlad populárně naučného textu z německého jazyka a odborný komentář k němu. Text pro překlad byl vybrán z internetového serveru www.novaesium.de. Jedná se o několik kapitol z textu, jehož účelem je podat stručný obraz o historii Germánů. Přeloženy jsou všechny kapitoly vyjma kapitol III. Die germanischen Stämme, VI. Tracht, Schmuck und Bewaffnung a VIII. Landwirtschaft und Siedlungswesen. Důvodem zkrácení je především rozsah celého textu a zamýšlený rozsah bakalářské práce. Komentář k překladu se zabývá překladatelskou analýzou textu, tedy analýzou vnětextových a vnitrotextových faktorů podle Ch. Nord (1995), popisem použitých metod a typologií překladatelských problémů a posunů.

The topic of this Bachelor Thesis is a translation of a non-fiction text from German and a professional commentary to that translation. The text for the translation was chosen from the internet server www.novaesium.de. It consists of several chapters from the text, the goal of which is to give a brief description of the history of the Germanic peoples. There will be translated all chapters except for chapters II. Die germanischen Stämme, VI. Tracht, Schmuck und Bewaffnung and VIII. Landwirtschaft und Siedlungswesen. The reason for shortening is mainly the extent of the entire text as compared to the extent of the planned Bachelor Thesis. The commentary to the translation is concerned with a translation analysis of the text, that means an analysis of intratextual and extratextual factors according to Ch. Nord, and with a description of the used methods and typologies of translation problems and shifts.
