Abstract

V předkládané práci se zabýváme překladem odborného textu psaného populárně-naučným stylem. Při jeho převodu do českého jazyka došlo především k posunům intelektualizace, nivelizace ale i archaizace, které se nešlo vyhnout vzhledem k faktu, že statistické údaje v textu byly uváděny k roku 2000. Během překladu se vyskytly problémy především při hledání českých ekvivalentů termínů z oblastí, které nejsou české kultuře vlastní, jako je například námořní rybolov. Text svým tématem, stylem a náročností odpovídá překládaným textům z překladatelských seminářů na Ústavu translatologie, a bylo tak možné na něm využít znalostí nabytých na těchto hodinách.

In the present work, we deal with the translation of a scholarly text written in a popular instructional style. Its transfer to the Czech language was mainly a shift of the intellectualization, leveling and also of the obsolescence that one could not avoid due to the fact that the statistic data were reported in the text to the year 2000. During the translation, problems occurred mainly in search of Czech equivalents of terms concerning areas that are unfamiliar for the Czech culture such as sea fishing. The text, its theme and style corresponded to the texts translated during seminars at the Institute of Translation and it was thus possible for us to apply our knowledge gained at these courses.
