Dramatická tvorba afrických frankofonních autorů v českých překladech

Abstract

v českém jazyce Diplomová práce pojednává o afrických frankofonních dramaticích a překladech jejich textů do českého jazyka. V teoretické části stručně popisuje vývoj divadla v Africe a jeho charakteristické prvky. V dalších kapitolách sleduje přijímání tohoto specifického žánru v Evropě a snaží se zmapovat jeho recepci ve Francii a v České republice. Zabývá se také historií českého festivalu Tvůrčí Afrika, který v roce 2011 po deseti letech skončil. Po dobu své existence hostil africké frankofonní autory, jejichž hry byly následně překládány do češtiny v rámci edice Současná hra Divadelního ústavu. Z translatologického hlediska se práce zabývá překladem dramatu obecně (vychází z překladatelských teorií 2. poloviny 20. století, zejména z díla Jiřího Levého) a překlady z kulturně vzdáleného prostředí. V obecné rovině se snaží formulovat obtíže, na něž může narazit překladatel textů odlišných od jeho domácí kultury. Na základě teoretických východisek byla provedena kritická translatologická analýza tří afrických her a jejich překladů do češtiny. Rozbor se věnuje především charakteristickým rysům originálu a komentuje způsob jejich překladu. Po stručném představení autora a dané hry se na základě rozsáhlé excerpce snaží zjistit, s jakou koncepcí překladatelé přistupovali k dílu a zda a v čem jsou...

v anglickém jazyce This thesis deals with the dramatic production of Francophone African authors and the translation of their texts into Czech. The theoretical part briefly describes the history of African drama and its specific elements. The following chapters examine the perception of this specific genre in Europe - especially in France and the Czech Republic. The thesis also documents the history of the Czech festival Africa in Creation, which has been held in Prague in the first decade of the new millennium. During its existence, it presented many African authors. Later, their plays were translated into Czech within the series The Contemporary play, published by the Arts and Theatre Institute. From the point of view of translatology, the study focuses on the general theory of the drama translation (based on the theories of translation from the 2nd part of the 20th century, especially the Czech model of Jiří Levý) and the post-colonial and cultural translation theories. In general, the aim of the study is to define the problems which the translator could be faced with translating the text from the culture which is diametrically different from the target one.
