Pražská ústavní péče o sirotky a opuštěné děti v první polovině 20. století.

Abstract

Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá péčí o sirotky a opuštěné děti se zaměřením na pražské ústavy určené k zaopatření těchto dětí. Práce nejprve představuje obecný vývoj péče o sirotky a opuštěné děti, systém organizace této péče a některé subjekty, které na poli péče o děti působily. Děti mohly nalézt zaopatření v náhradní rodinné péči nebo v ústavu, část práce popisuje tyto dvě eventuality a dobový diskurz o kladech a záporech obou možností. Ústředním bodem práce je organizace sociální péče o děti na území Prahy a představení vybraných dětských domovů a sirotčinců. Poté se práce stručně věnuje také každodennosti v ústavech: charakteristice obyvatel ústavů, vztahů mezi personálem a chovanci či možnostem hospodářského zajištění chodu ústavů. Základem pro napsání práce byly archivní materiály věnované jednotlivých dětským domovům a také dobová odborná literatura. Klíčová slova: sirotci, opuštěné děti, sociální péče, Praha, dětské domovy

This bachelor thesis investigates care of orphans and abandoned children paying particular attention to Prague institutes for those children. Firstly, this paper describes general development of care of orphans and abandoned children, system of organization of this type of care and some subjects working in the field of care of children. The children could be provided for either in foster families or in institutes. Part of this paper describes those two possibilities and period discussion about advantages and disadvantages of both possibilities. The key topic of the thesis is organization of social care of children in the Prague area and description of selected children's homes and orphanages. The thesis also briefly describes everyday life in institutes: it characterizes inhabitants of institutes, relationship among personel and inmates and way of financing the institutes. Archive materials of particular children's homes and also period specialized literature were the basic sources for the thesis.
