Srovnání přípravné fáze teroristických útoků v New Yorku r. 2001 a Londýně r. 2005

Abstract

Práce se věnuje srovnání dvou teroristických útoků, které byly připraveny organizací Al-Káida a možnými východisky/ doporučeními z nich vyplývajících. V hlavní části práce jsou srovnávány tři hlediska přípravy - získávání financí, výběr způsobu útoku/ cíle a výběr útočníků. Konkrétní analýza těchto tří dimenzí nám může napomoci nejen odpovědět na otázku, zdali při těchto útocích existovaly nějaké styčné body, ale také možnost přípravy těchto útoků centrálně. Tyto poznatky mohou přispět ke komplexnějšímu pohledu na přípravu teroristických útoků a k pochopení nástrojů, které jsou při tomto boji využívány.

The thesis focuses on the comparison of two terrorist attacks, which were committed by Al-Qaeda and the possible solution/ recommendations from them. The main part of the study compared three aspects of the preparatory phase of the attack - raising finances, the selection method of attack/ targets and the recruitment of attackers. Specific analysis of these three dimensions can help us not only answer the question whether these attacks have some points in common, but also if there is a possibility that these attacks were prepared centrally. Such knowledge can contribute to a more complex view of preparing terrorist attacks and the understanding of the tools that are used in this fight.
