Národní stereotypy v kontextu bosenské války a jejich zobrazení prostřednictvím vybraných snímků regionální kinematografie

Abstract

This bachelor's thesis focuses on the issues of national stereotyping in context of the conflict that happened in the lands of Bosnia and Herzegovina in the years 1992-1995. It highlights the most common national stereotypes and myths in former Yugoslavia while focusing on presenting the triggering mechanisms and mobilizing agents which were the cause of their activation. The main intention of this thesis is to explore the influence of national stereotypes and myths on the outbreak and escalation of ethnic violence between the Serbs and the Bosnians. To this end, it utilizes a combination of classical study of literature dealing with said subject and discursive analysis, where the used sources are selected films from local cinematography. The conclusion of the study is based on the comparison of chosen movies and the theoretical framework described in the opening part of the text.

Bakalářská práce se zaměřuje na problematiku národní stereotypizace v souvislosti s konfliktem probíhajícím na území Bosny a Hercegoviny v letech 1992-1995, přičemž osvětluje nejvýznamnější národní stereotypy a mýty v prostoru bývalé Jugoslávie a zároveň klade důraz na představení spouštěcích mechanismů a mobilizačních aktérů, kteří stáli za jejich aktivací. Hlavním záměrem práce je prozkoumat vliv národních stereotypů a mýtů na rozpoutání a eskalaci etnického násilí mezi Srby a Bosňáky. Využívá k tomu kombinaci klasického rozboru odborné literatury zabývající se daným tématem a diskurzivní analýzy, přičemž používanými zdroji jsou vybrané snímky regionální kinematografie. Závěry práce jsou založeny na komparaci jednotlivých analyzovaných filmů a teoretického rámce, který poskytuje úvodní část textu.
