Americko- izraelské vztahy po nástupu prezidenta George W. Bushe

Abstract

Precis The bachelor thesis concerns with american- israeli relations during both administrations of George W. Bush, who was significant co- creator of israeli- palestinian peace plans at the beginning of the 21st century. This thesis is occupied by the mediational form of the USA in terms of this conflict and try to find the level of the actors' rationality. It's possible to evaluate certain form of rationality, formal, or informal, as better or worse way of solving israeli- palestinian conflict. In this thesis, the important events from 2001 to 2008 are analysed, Mitchell's peace plan and Tenet's peace plan, construction of separation wall between areas controlled by Israeli people and regions settled by Palestinians and the withdrawall of Israelis from the Gaza Strip. The most important topic of this thesis is evaluation of outputs of the Road map and searching for the reasons of its failure. Not only are there the interest of the rational actors, but political situations of that time is also mentioned there, because it contributes to construction of the peace solution as well. This bachelor thesis takes a notice of the response of both actors- the State of Israel and Palestinians to the Road map, which was criticised for being american plan and for the lack of international participation in this peace...

Bakalářská práce se zabývá americko- izraelskými vztahy v průběhu dvou administrativ George W. Bushe, který se na začátku 21. století významně podílel na návrzích řešení izraelsko- palestinského konfliktu. Tato práce zkoumá problematiku mediace Spojených států amerických v tomto konfliktu a snaží se zjistit racionalitu jednotlivých aktérů. Způsob mediace, tedy to, zda je formální, či neformální, je pak možné hodnotit jako více či méně racionální krok při řešení sporu mezi Izraelci a Palestinci. V této práci jsou popsány a analyzovány podstatné události období od roku 2001 až 2008, tedy Mitchellovy nebo Tenetovy mírové návrhy, stavba zdi mezi územími kontrolovanými Izraelci a oblastmi, které obývají Palestinci nebo stažení Izraelců z Gazy. Hlavním předmětem práce je zhodnocení výstupů Cestovní mapy a hledání příčin, proč nebyla prosazena. Jsou zde zohledněny nejen zájmy racionálních aktérů, ale také tehdejší politická situace, která k formování mírového řešení také přispěla. Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá tedy také odpovědí obou aktérů konfliktu- Izraele a Palestinců na Cestovní mapu, kterou vnímali jako americký plán, nikoliv jako návrh více mezinárodních aktérů. Analýza si všímá i Bushova druhého funkčního období a okrajově také dalších mírových návrhů menšího rozsahu, které nepocházely z USA,...
