Vstup České republiky do Evropské unie v Sudetendeutsche Zeitung a Sudetenpost od prosince 1997 do června 2004

Abstract

The czech-german and the czech-austrian relations are influenced by reminiscent elements and controversy in the interpretation of our shared history so far. The theme of the postwar transfer of the sudetengerman minority from the Czechoslowakia figures among the czech-german and czech- austrian "roadblocks" on the front. The postwar Beneš-decrees has influenced the processus of the czech EU-integration eminently. This text follows the EU -integration of the Czech republic and its nuances how are they presented in Sudetendeutsche Zeitung and Sudetenpost. It aims to describe the emphasized aspects of the integration and analyzes the context, in which is this problematics in the years 1997 - 2004 reflected. The analysis of the media agenda of the oficial paper of Sudetendeutsche Landsmannschaft and Sudetendeutsche Landsmannschaft in Österreich unveils the czech EU-entry from the sudetengerman point of view and tries to contribute the understanding of the "sudetengerman problem". The essay apllies two metodic approaches. The quantitative content analysis examines the frequence of the selected media contents, idientifies their context, neutrality or eventually opinion affection and makes this way the articles in Sudetendeustche Zeitung more transparent. Diplomová práce sleduje, jakým způsobem informovaly noviny Sudetendeutsche Zeitung a Sudetenpost o problematice vstupu České republiky do Evropské unie. Popisuje mediální obraz zásadních událostí, které od prosince 1997 (zasedání Evropské rady v Lucemburku) vstupu Česka do EU předcházely. Shrnuje, jak je v těchto sudetoněmeckých periodicích proces přistoupení komentován a hodnocen. Práce mimo jiné analyzuje, nakolik v mediálních obsazích s tematikou vstupu ČR do EU dominuje "sudetoněmecká otázka" a sleduje, zda zkoumané oficiální tiskové orgány krajanských sdružení Sudetendeutsche Landsmannschaft a Sudetendeutsche Landsmannschaft in Österreich interpretují vstup Čechů do EU převážně v kontextu letitého sudetoněmecko-českého problému. V kvantitativní části se výzkum zaměřuje na rozbor vývoje "východního" rozšíření evropských struktur v období od začátku prosince 1997 do poloviny roku 2004. Studuje témata, v jejichž souvislosti je analyzovaná problematika medializována a orientuje se i na dominantní aktéry a instituce, které v textech v Sudetendeutsche Zeitung a Sudetenpost figurují. Kvalitativní část diplomové práce zkoumá formu a obsah textů věnovaných tematice vstupu ČR do EU s cílem zhodnotit postoj německého a rakouského krajanského sdružení k "východní" expanzi unie, prezentovaný v periodicích...
