Podíl aktivit neziskového sektoru na kvalitě života osob s mentálním postižením

Abstract

Diploma thesis "The influence of the activities of non-profit sector on the quality of life of people with mental retardation" is concerned with the analysis of the area of social services for people with mental retardation. The thesis aims at characterising the current position of the non-profit sector in meeting the needs of people with mental retardation, identifying problem areas and proposing recommendations, which could support the activities of the non-profit sector in this area. Methods such as institutional framework analysis, stakeholder analysis, interview with experts and stakeholders and questionnaire survey in NGOs are used. The issue of mental retardation is based on the theory of needs, the quality of life concept and the concept of human rights. The role of the non-profit sector is analysed in a broader institutional and social context. The availability of social services provided by NGOs for people with mental retardation in the Czech Republic is investigated and the main spheres of activities of NGOs according to the services provided are indentified. Diplomová práce "Podíl aktivit neziskového sektoru na kvalitě života osob s mentálním postižením" se zabývá analýzou aktivit neziskového sektoru v oblasti sociálních služeb pro lidi s mentálním postižením. Cílem práce je charakteristika současného působení neziskového sektoru v naplňování potřeb lidí s mentálním postižením, identifikace problémových okruhů a navržení opatření, která by aktivity neziskového sektoru v této oblasti mohla podpořit. Metody, které práce především využívá, jsou analýza institucionálních rámců, analýza aktérů, rozhovory se zúčastněnými aktéry a odborníky, dotazníkové šetření v neziskových organizacích. Problematika mentálního postižení je uchopena na základě teorie potřeb, konceptu kvality života a lidských práv. Působení neziskového sektoru je zasazeno do širšího legislativního a společenského kontextu. V rámci ČR je zjišťována dostupnost sociálních služeb nabízených neziskovými organizacemi pro osoby s mentálním postižením a vymezeny oblasti působnosti neziskového sektoru podle poskytované péče. Dále jsou uvedeny příklady dobré praxe ze zahraničí, je analyzován vztah neziskového sektoru a státu a jsou navržena doporučení vedoucí ke zlepšení fungování systému sociálních služeb pro osoby s mentálním postižením.
